Just thought i would install mir2 on one of my pcs win7

Not played mir in ages and would you belive it access violation at address 0047a3b8

dam sound problem as its defo not ip/name

So i go download the latest drivers from realtex and same story

Looks like its a vmware install what a joke

you are trying to use the mir client on windows 7?

it works here at my home.. not sure but deffo looks like the sound error it gave when the sound card drivers where missing..

after installing the realtek the audio card works properly?

Yer was going to run the client coz ive just installed the source and compiled

Then error lol on starting mir2.exe

Yer its defo a sound problem but new drivers work and install nice but same error

Win 7 sucks just a bit lol

i actualy fixed that in my 'new' files (the error you get if you have no sound card)
fixed it years ago but never released it lol

Thats the thing tho, the sound is fine (driver wise) latest.

Must not want me to play mir again

Mybe it is an ip problem then :P if your sound cards working fine it wouldn't be that, think i had this problem before just can't remember what it was.

If you have a similar popup when trying to load mir2.exe as screenprint below:

access violation at address 00498eco in module 'mir2.exe. read of address 000005a4

Its mostly like your sound drivers - are not working correctly this may be due to following:
You recently formatted...didnt install the sound drive
Virus may of deleted/corrupted your sound driver
You trying installing incorrect sound drive
You tried updating you sound driver?
