shut ure server down for a bit, the last thing u want is to be sue'd

yea but its easy to stopany wemade aficilates or wot eva enter these forums, just when you sign up, have in the agreement that if your in anyway in contact with wemade or gnonline wot eva, then you are breaking the violation of this forum or somet. thus if they sign up, and go to sue you for holding materials etc, u get them bk, as they brokw ur agreement thing. i know you getting them wouldnt be as bad as them gettin u as its totaly different things, but its worth doing.

Take the server down, buy a cheap blade server, colocate it.
Bang-Bang-Bang. End result? GN don't have you by the balls. Your ISP no longer has you by the balls, and your hosting PC is now free for other ****.
As ever, the largest problem with these things is not GN, but your ISP.

This has been enquired about over a license for a mir3 server(not saying who), but to put it bluntly your looking at around £20,000+ per year depending on user count and thats just for a mir3 server. But this does also include the full server files and any updates that are given(if they give em you).
Oh and the £20,000 is just for a basic server.

soon all p servers will be forced to close i recon personally i dont see why they would want to close p servers, all though they are losing players and money, but at the end of the day, they have more players than all the priv servers put together.

Basic is as it says basic, you get sweet fa. Just the server files that gets you online and running but its not in english as its the original files. The person to contact is wemade directly dont ask who cause i dont know.
Now for a bit of advice. Cause you run an ilegal server and do gain profit from it, if the company decide to prosercute then you dont have a leg to stand on. But heres the good news GN only own the license to run the game and altar it in accordance with there terms and conditions outlined by wemade. To take legal action against someone for running a p/server they need to gain permision from wemade to take action. The only action they are allowed to take is to have that server closed down via your ISP.
Now here's some more bad news im afraid. If your ISP wanted to they could take you to court and sue you for using there service to run an ilegal server. So do as they say and close the server down, then go get some legal advice on where you stand and if needs be ask them about enquireing about getting hold of a license to run a server, they should beable to help you with this.

The answer is yes and no. It would cost wemade more money to sue a small p/server than what they would gain. But for a server like p69 the fine could be huge, due to how long its been running and how much has gone into running the server and whats been donated. They would look at things such as how much you pay for your connection each month/year and an average on how much you make from donations each month/year. So if this is a high sum your screwed basicully. But wemade tend not to do anything about p/servers in the ways of sueing them due to the fact they leaked the server files out in the first place.
