Looking for a team member

not sure if this is the right section but ..

i got my own mir 2.3 server up but im not around all the time

its got alot of added stuff atm but needs some one who can be there when im not ( i work my arse off when i am around but it wont be enough)

its hosted on my pc at home on a quadcore and 2 gig of ram atm (can be upgraded if needed)

im usualy not around in the week from 2pm - 9/10ish at night and sometimes weekends ( due to the missus )

just wondering if anyone would like to join my server team and give me a hand ..

soz if people think this post is crap or w/e but could do with some help when im not around

if your intrested please leave a post or pm me and ill send u my msn

its a highrate server and if u did want to give me a hand a few items now and then would be a big help or anything :P but u also must no how to reboot a server and remove things if there not spose to be there etc ( u shouldnt have this problem tho theres no bugs / exploits that i no of atm i try to test everything properly)

Its not a crap post, as it contains all the necessary information. You could post what kinda of work load needs doing in the near future, what rate of server you want to have, and what you expect from staff.. This might save your inbox from getting full of spam..

Also as a tiny bit of advice, I would recruit someone you know and trust for your team. If not be careful and monitor what's happening around in the server while its running.

and i seem to put my trust in anyone ( i just like to see what someones made of) but if they betray that trust then i no not to use them etc

In which case, make sure you get a good few opinions on here of anyone you're tempted to take on board, loads of dodgy people willing to rip anyone they can off over pathetic amounts of work etc, so better safe than sorry.

Btw considering the cost of RAM, I'd personally upgrade to 4GB of RAM (should be plenty), as it'd be a minor cost for a potentially good upgrade - Goodluck.

thanks for feedback mate - i will upgrade the server ram to 4GB when the server goes beta / live ( depends how it runs in beta ) its only a 2second upgrade so not all bad =]

agian, im not bein nasty, but with ur experience with files, i can assure u there will be plenty of bugs and probably exploits 2

i would sugest u learn more and use this as a learnin process dont just throw something together and put it online

ive had bout 5 people on testing everything thats been added / already there .. but we will see how it goes , thanks for feedback tho x

what sort of server is it your hosting?? i will see what i can do for you m8 with what your after (most of it not 100% of it)

i mean im not round 100% of the time as we all have a life outside of mir / the internet aswell. but im around a fair bit from about 5-9pm (maybe from about 6/7 some nights but only because i have a GF my self)
