Ok as you are aware, Dreamscape Servers UK is back and also trading under PGRCN.

Dreamscape Servers UK:

Originally Dreamscape Servers was based around private gaming servers, it offered free webhosting and forum hosting.
This did work originally and was an active site in the back ground, but as a site on a whole it didn’t offer users much.
So after some lengthy discussions with friends and associates, we decided to go in the way of online gaming and bring
in some new European servers and possibly some old ones as well.

The idea is to bring in F2P games, that have item shops. This then bring the cost of running the servers down, as there is no
need for high over heads when purchasing licensing and makes a better opportunity to work with gaming providers in the long run.

We will also not just be sticking to the standard MMORPG either, as we are currently looking into browser based games as well.

The idea of Dreamscape Servers UK, is to bring in a gaming community that is run by the gaming community. This then helps in
looking at what step to take next, seeing what games are good to what genre and effectively having the community decide on
what games are going to work and what isn’t. The process with Dreamscape Servers UK will be a slow process to start off with
and trying to secure the license for a game can be a long process as well, but it’s all about the community and what can be done.

PGRCN

Is an acronym of Personal Gaming Resource Community Network.

The aim of PGRCN, is to bring coders from all walks of life under one community. Whether you are a novice or an expert, we aim to cater for all.
PGRCN will run side by side with Dreamscape Servers UK and help promote coders who want to get into the gaming community.

Or aim with PGRCN, is to work alongside gaming server providers IE: Wemade or Shanda (only as examples)

We will be bringing on development game servers, that the budding coder can work on and show his/her work on a world scale.
We also aim to work closely with other gaming institutes IE: EA, to help those budding coders to get into the area of expertise that
they are looking for. We won’t be sticking with one coding format ether, as there is a lot to learn from combining different coding
experiences. IE: Delphi & VB. This is to see the relationship of how each can work together and produce some brilliant results.

PGRCN will provide a portal into the gaming world and hopefully bring you jobs that will match your skill set.

POSITIONS:

I currently have a small team and looking to expand and bring on more people, I am currently working on a couple of projects to bring some new servers to Europe and would require the staff to help in getting these off the ground.

We are looking for the following.

SQL DESIGNERS & CODDERS
MySQL DESIGNERS & CODDERS
HTML, PHP, ASP DESIGNERS AND CODDERS
FORUM STAFF - SMODS & MODS
FORUM & SITE SUPPORT STAFF

GENRAL STAFF

Email any of the above, depending on what you want to do.

The an application will be sent out via email to you, just fill it in and then email it back to the relevant email address.

Each new member of staff will get a either a @dreamscape-servers.co.uk or @pgrcn.com email address, full access to any game that we release in Europe. If you are intrested then please email one of the above contacts.

This is an informational thread - Do not post if it's not constructive, as this is a waste of database space.

Think you need to give a bit more information for the people who don't actually know who/what Dreamscape are/is...like myself :P

Information such as Gadget suggested would be useful

Has applied. I like the idea of Dream scape having F2P games, but are you planning on producing a game, or buying the licence for a game already out, as arn't they quite expensive?

Dreamscape Servers UK will be working solely to bring in F2P games both through game clients and webbrowser on a license basis.

PGRCN will be help to people who do and want to code, get into the area of work they are looking for and there is the possibilty of PGRCN producing there own game/s as well.

What's your budget?

Do you have a business plan?

I'd also like to know what you intend to do in terms of marketing, and how much of your budget you've allocated to it as it's a big sea to fish in if you've got a small boat!

The finance and other things, isn't a need to worry. My Financial advisor is currently dealing with this side of things.

Marketing is a need, but at this stage not essential as yet. For the time being, we will be solely relying on word of mouth.
Word of mouth in my eyes, is one of the best forms of marketing any company can use and it helps if you are
a member of many forums.

When the time comes and games are brought on board, then we will look at marketing. But we are currently working on
trying to secure licensing for F2P games.
