Luck and wizz spells

Hi hi,
I've recently managed to get luck 4, but after a bit of testing it seems luck doesn't affect spells. Is that the case, or am I just insanely unlucky hitting those lucked rolls?
Or is it similar to Euro mir where luck was only really viable for wizzies once max luck was achieved?
