M2server.exe error

this is after the maps have loaded. Anyone know the error and its cause? ty

Have you changed any IP`s? Or DB?

Sql info wrong or you edited the items db

I had a look at my SQL DB. Ive uninstalled it, removed it etc and removed my previous mir server.

Ive redownloaded both the mirserver.rar and sql 2005 again and redone it up. I get to the point where I want to restore my database and i get this message...

sorry for double post but i solved the previous issue above with me forgetting to overwrite the existing database backup file. So thats good news.

Then i get another m2server error. I think its to do with the directories of the map files but i dont know what to change it to..

you probably have no map files lol..

and the above errors.. failed to load.. why do maps normally fail to load.. oh ye they aint there


go check ur mirserver/m2server/maps folder... make sure u got all themaps in there u want



also, the envir/mapquest.txt...... go delete ne thing inside there, that will fix the mapquest error - which is most likely erroring because its trying to run something on a map which dont exsist because u havnt got maps loaded

That worked.

The maps were there its the directories that were wrong in the !setup.txt and dbsrv.txt. About the mapquest.txt thats what made it not work so i did as you said. ty

just gotta read what it tells u and it becomes quite simple sometimes... if its trying to load something then fails, then the problem is what it was trying to load, so remember that in future!
