Major 1.4 problem

ive been playing about now all day with a 1.4 sever for me and a few m8s i got a realy big problem with it and its doing my head in.

!1 ive got a router
!2 ive changed the ips according to allot of guides and my freinds and i can access until we put login details in and the doors stay shut (m2server sates gate0 open) so i go into all the gate files and change to my global ip instad of 127.0.0.1 and reboot the server but on m2server(no msg to say gate0 open) i then change m2server and it will load the gate 0 open msg but dbserver and logsrv wont load dbserver shows as disconnected and logsvs shows mos sumit ip and i cant load server any ideas or can 1.4 not be run on a router i have had a server online when directly plugged into modem but cant figure this out.

all ports are forwarded poperly as they can get as far as me so i reckon its ip i not changed server name still ktest but im running out of ideas ive started over like 5 times with diff guides and m2servers any ideas. :dunce:

jus had an idea not sure if it will work as my mate gone off line

if i change all the ips to my pc ip(given by router) and forward all the ports. but give whoever needs to connect my globalip wud this work or would there be a problem.

as i have jus read a 1.9 guide and it states you can leave all your ips to 127.0.0.1 as the remote.

ill give this a try 2moz but an update would be nice any ideas . ?​

when running a mir server on a pc that uses a router all IPS needs to be set at to 127.0.0.1
but change two IPS to your golbal IP

dbserver !serverinfo.txt the last one and loginsvr !addrtable.txt last one

when you connect to the server use your router ip everyone elce needs the global ip

also make sure ports are fowarded to the needed ports and thats it

when you mean no joy i take it you can login but no one elce can ?

can i ask you ant useing a server start are you ? coz some mite change the 0.0.0.0 ips as you said the doors dont open

its defo a ip or ports not fowarded problem, as i cant see you messing up the server name

when i got my 1.9 going i used my lan ip (192.168.1.100) instead of 127.0.0.1 that cured my problem straight up

IP:127.0.0.1 are not an local IP for external use, are internal IP of PC, and cant use this 1, for ur online conection. Must to change all your internal IP(127.0...) with local IP like 192.168.1.x (x=2....254) if ur router have internal IP 192.168.1.1. Are very important this...
And after use from LOMCN topics to make corectly setup in MIRSERVER and router.

PS: Use 1.9 work identicly like 1.4 but u have a lots of advantages.:tongue1:

ok the problem i am coming across if FATAL ERROR VERIFACTION checked dbs they ok all unique to also changed all instances of 127.0.0.1 with mine 192.168.2.254 which is my ip for my pc on my router and put the global ip in the aboth files as advised but still getting this error the server name is still ktest not changed these at all Also people trying to connect get as far as me and get same msg
