I'd like to rip possibly hundreds of videos from 1 creator and convert to MP3 so I can listen to the videos in my car. Does anybody have any advice on how to do this proficiently?

Free YT to mp3

If those GH programs would prove challenging as is sometimes the case, check out this one. There are also similar other such programs there.

Just a tip.

Don't download .exe files from (almost) anywhere. It's not 2005 anymore. You don't know the authors. You don't know if the files uploaded there have been tampered. You have to traceability. The incentives for some people to put malware in software are huge.

It's not that installing software from github is free of risk but it's highly reduced.

Use either software from trusted sources or online tools.

If they have a GitHub repo, build it yourself after looking at the code. Never use a release. Same applies tbh

Not the same, but yes.

The things is you can usually trust popular GH repos. There are many eyes watching. The builds are usually reproducible and transparent. You have the checksum to make sure you downloaded the correct file, etc.

You can never be 100% sure but this is way better than downloading an exe from a third party website that links software from rapidgator which is compressed in a .rar file.

I get what you saying but I have confidence in this place and its related site FCcatchers
Not only have I used portables from these sites for as long as they've been online but I have also been a forum member behind these sites before it moved to a private space.

If anything, I am worried about the third party uploading sites they use. I advise to have blockers active (browser inbuilt plus ublock origin) and be very careful before you scout out what links should be clicked to trigger download before you are familiar with the place. Once the download starts, close the site tab right away (always open it in a new tab on FC page if it doesn't do that automatically, don't rely on being able to return to FC site using back arrows or key, that pays for many other underhanded sites that hijack you) and best guard from clicking even into the 'empty space' in the page margins...

They use mostly two downloading sites, Filespayout and RapidGator, the first one is a devious site (likely if you have antivirus, it won't allow you to visit) and if you can't figure out what you doing, just use RG which I think is above board (legit site) but slow and onerous as hell if you don't pay up (but has stellar file retention).

The download when it starts (and what you download) should always be a .rar file! The other day I wanted something that was uploaded to some other site I wasn't familiar with and initially download said .rar but the actual downloaded file was .exe and didn't allow extracting via rar or 7zip, so I deleted it. Maybe that's what you referred to. Only then I realized I didn't use the right download link from which the proper .rar file was downloaded. These sites are engineered to confuse but the file is there available for fast and unlimited download, just it is like fishing it from shark infested waters :p
