Suggestion Master & Student system

I believe all of you is familiar with this system so... can we have it? would be nice towards new players to help them catch up.

Remember this from a mir3 server i tried out years ago, was a pretty decent system.

It was very good for newcomers to high rates back in the day. The master would get FP or integs etc for getting a student to X level.

make yr own noob on a separate account with vpn. Get buffs.

I’m a fan of the system, it worked well on other servers and give people a means to tempt friends over to the server.

Do people still feel a levelling guide is required? Most of us have been here (Mir) for years, the community is your guide, use green/yellow shout if you need advice or come here to the forums, considering the amount of work involved in compiling a comprehensive level by level / cave by cave guide would take a fair amount of time and wouldn’t be worth it for the majority (not including that you would need to continuously update it when a new patch lands).

I have never found "the community" to be that helpful. There's a lot of mir2 players come here now. Jamie has changed a lot of the things like which element to use in which cave and who uses them and how from when some people last played the game years ago.

The mentor/apprentice system was abused on every single server I played that introduced it. I haven't played them all though

If there is a demand for it then maybe people can look to put something together, will still need to be reviewed with each patch though.

When you say “abused” are you able to expand on that as I’m unfamiliar with any abuse that went on with the system??

I did put up some screenshots of the revamped Korean mentor system in a thread somewhere, I’ll have to find it again. It is actually quite attractive for a change and they have a leaderboard of contribution points you gain.
