Over the last month since i had my server machines stolen, ive seen a lot of servers come and a few just go. Due to what ever problem that it may have had. Since the servers where stolen i had decided that i wouldnt come back and create a server. Well ive thought long and hard about the decision that i made and have decided that im going to start work again on a new set of files. There are going to be many new features added to the server but these will come in parts so as not to give you everything at once. Now enough of the dribble from me and continue to read.

Server Specs:

AMD 64 dualcore 3200
2Gig of ddr2
3 sata 160Gig Hdd
4 Scsi 73Gig Hdd
10Mg connection

These are only a rough idea of what the server machines will be and may change once they are built.

New Maps/worlds:

There will be many new maps added to the server, including new worlds. These will be added in parts as the server grows and will be worth the wait.

Dragons Lair level 50+
Snake pit level 60+
Devils lair level 70+
Heaven & Hell level 80+

Dragons Lair:

This will contain 4 levels including a KR. [More information to come]

Snake Pit:

This will be one big hunting area containing a lot of snakes, ranging from low level snakes to an ultimate killer snake.

Devils Lair:

This will be a group hunting area and so will be good for guild hunts. [More information to come]

Heaven & Hell:

To be decided.

New Items/Armours:

The new items and armours will be found in the new hunting grounds, these will also be added in parts. There will be no information posted on these you will have to wait and see.

New NPC's and Quests:

There will be several new Npc's added to the server, these will work inconjunction with the new maps and worlds and vise versa with the new guests.

A website will be made availible in the next couple of weeks and then from there on in you will only find information on the server. This is not going to be a high end server nor is it going to be a low rate one.I havernt fully decided on what it will beas of yet, but i do want this server to last.
If the server gets to a point that it has a high user count then i will consider moving the server to a dedicated server with a min of 100MB connection.

So now please sit back, watch and wait for more information.

First off, its a temp forum till ive paid for my license for VB. Im not going to use any old crap php forum for the initial launch of the server.

Secondly i all ready have a web host, the website and other functions are currently being built.

And thirdly i know what im doing and i know how im doing this. Ive never once seen a comment like that from you or any other member of lomcn stating what you stated towards other people. Especially those that have used free forums and still do.

So unless you have a positve critism about what im doing, i would ask you to refrain from posting on this thread.

This is a Forum, people are allowed to post there view points, you have a Web host where you could have hosted as a TEMP measure a PHP Forum and then you coudl have imported the data across to VBulletin when you get around to buying your licence.

Did I mention that you do not know what you are doing? I have seen many people use the FREE Forums site things and many people have posted how crap this was, you obiuosly not been around that long I guess. Most people who host a Server are Children who cannot afford to buy a web host etc (or have no means to do so) - i am NOT saying you are a child so get the fek off your high horse..

Oh and it was Postive thread - I was telling you to use a proper Web host instead of some free Web Forum thing...

First off ive only ever had 1 other server.

@Demonic The free forum is only an information base and will not have anything to do with the server once its in testing stage and people can create accounts. And yes i do know what im doing, or i should know what im doing seeing as its my job.

Please stop hijacking this thread and airing your arguments.

The last server i had was called Zion and would have been up and running today. But Triv if you remember from what i said on the forum, i had 3 server machines stolen by a so called friend.

Now the reason im re-doing another server, is from the simple fact i put a lot of time into the last 1 only for no one to really try it. So ive decided to have another go and let people see what they would have had from the last one. But with the negative response so far, im thinking to myself what is the point in doing this again. Im putting a hell of a lot of time and effort into this, just to be brought down before the server even goes live.

So please someone tell me why i should continue working on it when, if your going to be like this on here what you going to be like once the server goes live. My first rule about this server, is im not having idiots playing it. Nor am i going to put up with endless crap from people, unlike many other servers that do.

Oh and by the way Triv i wouldnt count once or twice that the server went up for testing as an acctual live server. So really i havernt had any servers up as of yet.

@Triv this is a resource forum for people who wouldnt normaly know how to setup and use the Mir server files, as well as that it is an information forum to help people build upon there servers and create better servers for people to play.
Its not a forum where you air your views nor is it a forum for your grivences.
And dataforce can confirm what ive said, seeing as how thats how lomcn first started.

Ive not yet decided what the drop rates are going to or what the exp is, drop rates will come once ive re-writen the drop files. As forexp imnot sure as of yet, as i dont want people leveling to quick but i do want them to have the benifit of using the new maps and stuff.
