MiGHT Server (the "stolen" one)

Well I've seen a lot of talk about the "stolen" version of MiGHT ...
But lets look at some facts :

NewHope willingly gave the MiGHT files to TJSS , now in no way is that stealing ...

Their agreement as far as I know was that TJSS host the files on a dedicated server indefinately , if anything he is merely furfilling his promise to the players...

The "Original" MiGHT is down indefinately as far as I can tell ...

90% of what occurs on this forum is "stealing" , lol ..
Hell even the files themselves [TD 2.3] are "stolen" according to the GPL

Taking all of this into consideration ...

Should the MiGHT server really be disallowed on this forum????

kinda agree...it should be allowed-evan is not currupt on the server+he does dailey updates and hes just put in housing system..but if the mods dissagree NewHope will have the choice to let it or not.

They arnt his files he dident do the work on them lol Its like saying the company that host Euro mir 2 & mir 3 keep them if wemad sed they wonted them back lol dont be stupid.


P.S The account of Tjss was made & owned buy Tom MR gm he's not useing lomcn any more & let Habtrx & MR owner use the account so when u say Tjss dont be mixing it up its Hab that stole the files!

The Files are Stoled & not the propty of the person hosteing them So they ARE STOLEN!

The GPL was changes.

Yes a lot of the files we use here have been stole at some point but people have access to them on this forum to make there own server's not steal files that have had a lot of effortput into them buy one of this forum's member's its just disrespestful & that is why it has been baned from advirtiseing on this forums, I 100% agree with the staff!

There were wrongly used.
Evan used the dedi to host for a while for the first MiGHT then NewHope didnt like it (gather he didnt feel safe with it) so he moved it back to his home system.
Evan then went on to host the server files with a wipe. Yes he even told me that he was thinking of hosting and there was no way he spoke to NewHope about this. I told him to not be so childish as I hate people that steal files so I told him to delete them and that be the end of it, but then out pops this server....

Evan is quite selfish, i may have trusted him but hes about as honest as any other mir player (not at all, for all you misinformed and misguided btw). He offered to host MY server, made 100% by ME for FREE. Within 30 minutes of it being online he was a GM. Ingame. Interfering with my server. This was the whole reason for MiGHT screwing up. He lied. If he had said from the beginning he intended to become part of my NON-EXISTANT server team, i would have declined his offer of FREE-HOSTING.

I asked for my files back, and to host them myself. He returned, yet kept them also on his computer. Even though on MSN he told me he had deleted(another reason to trust him right there, btw this is sarcasm.) them.

This is where t becomes quite obvious just how much he can be trusted. He then proceeded to give ID/passwords of ingame characters to some of his friends that played the server, these friends then proceeded to steal and change peoples passwords. However, due to them being idiots i managed to sort most of these screw ups.

When my server was online, i too did daily updates. Although not everyday we're many as noticable as adding new caves/items and so on. But they were there.

I believe anyone who plays it is a fool. But then agan this is mir so... i know how many people need a fix. I would like it if it wasn't posted or mentioned on LOMCN as its come about as a result of lying/cheating and stealing... things that anyone with morals would know is, well, WRONG. But then i have no control over this forum, over peoples actions or over peoples opinions.

I understand you put effort into playing MY server, and im sorry i took it away from you. But i wasn't going to compete with my own server, because due to my life and having more important things than mir, i wouldn't be ableto update as fast as the THEIF.

I did not and do not EVER allowed EVAN or whoever to use my files. However its obviously going on.

exactly, the end of the day the files are not his, he did not have permission from the creator to have the files for his own use or to re-host them as his own server so the files will not be supported on these forums we have rules in place with reference to this kind of stuff.

now if the original host comes forward and say's that they have permission to run / host the files even tho they stole them and hacked the char database on the original server then fine but untill then no more threads about it, no advertising it including server siggys with might servers details or ip addys in.

anyone in breach of the rules will be infracted, it may seem harsh to you but how do you think the original owner / creator feels about the fact his files were stolen and a few people think this kind of behaviour is acceptable?
