mir 2.3 sever

iv been making or shall i say trying to make a sever to day for my use only. iv spent all day doing it since 8am and havent got no were im not going to give up so if there is any one out there able to help me it would be nice lol.

to start off iv read the sever setup files and copyed every think they have said to do. i got a littl confused on the ip bit i want to use it for my self would i use 127.0.0.1 or my 192.168.x.x. and hwat folder do i put them in

:/mirserver/RunGate/Config.ini
i dont have that file or ini. from the links on this website.

Right well if your going to use the same pc to connect to the server you need to use 127.0.0.1 and use that in your client ini`s also.

If your wanting people over your network to play you will need to goto local area connection double click it then goto the details/Info tab find the pc`s ip addres your router assigned your pc, Use that ip in the files. And in your client on other pc`s

P.S Wrong section you should have put this in the help section

is that for every single ip adress in all of these 127.0.0.1.

I only want to use it on my pc no one else's just mine. and it will be on the same computer.

Step 7: Setting Up The Client

Go to the server folder /m2server and copy and paste the mir2.exe in your game folder. Then go to the game folder and open mir.ini and save all the IP's (3 of them) to either your local IP 127.0.0.1 or your LAN or WAN IP which ever you entered in your server files and save this file as mir2.ini

i dont have mir.ini in the folder

This are a little wrong, u can use the same IPs :internal :127.0.0.1 OR local(of ur network IP) : 192.168.x.x , mir server must to work with both IPs identicly, ...only dont mix them. :tongue1::agree:

You just need a client lol, you have no server or mir2.ini`s also you have no maps, graphics or wav folders, just download anyones client for now and edit the IP in servers for you to connect.
