The mir2 EI source is probably one of the earliest out there tbh. Its the very old variant when mir2 had the Evils Illusion patch, but turned out to become mir3 because of its differences. Ive got most of that code on my github i suspect

Good to hear some history behind the files, I might just clean the directories up and post it on github for anyone to fork etc.

There is a date 2010 in the map editor 'about'

The map editor GUI with the Objects menu unrolled.
It seems to work with a .bil format I never heard of, the mir3 client has standard maps and will libraries.

Bil libraries editor that refuses to open .bil libraries 1750099262312.png

Possibly that map and library editors refuse to work because the files paths are ASCII garbage. My computer can display Chinese but maybe only the 'simplified' Chinese and these file paths might be in the 'traditional' one? Maybe because the files are some 15 years old or even older?

That *.bil format is BecowsImageLib format, whatever that is, something to do with cows? :geek:

I deleted the ASCII garbage folder names and replaced them with my own names and then I was able to use the included library editor to browse over to the map editor folder and open *.bil libraries there.

Those are only samples, they all contain very few tiles, like here in Objects.bil

Funny thing is, GTranslate can't translate any of the menu text you see here, it is an unknown language
Don't know how those crisscrossed lines are helpful

Maps are the same as in mir2 early days, only few house interiors I don't recall, maybe it is from mir3? But province maps are all mir2, probably mir EI started with them and only got mir3 maps later.

Mind you, the included map editor doesn't react to menu commands, even when you use mouse, I opened the client maps with map viewer not from this aige file release and it loaded tiles from the client wil libraries.

Maybe Sabuk prison?
