I always thought that a cool thing would be if the spells were graphically enhanced per lvl of the skill, so lvl 1 fireball would look a bit pitiful, lvl 2 would be the current gfx for it and lvl 3 would look much improved, probly be alot of work, but i think it would be an awesome addition.


that would be a cool thing to add of they could do it but im not sure they would be able to do it!

stocked items were cool but with gems along side them it made them abit overpowered, maybe limiting items to one slot only would help it and limiting the runes that you can use, get rid of the DC,SC and MC runes so people have to use gems for them stats and for extra hp or AC or whatever they can use ONE rune on the slotted item, would stop them being too over powered

New types or runes could make it interesting but keeping the slots limited to one and making them alot harder to drop

Sockets are fine, however they need and I hope they have been nerfed in some way.

Gemming for a start was too easy.
Should add stones to create them like on Euro, and then making stones drop a little less. This adds value to stones so it's nice when you're a noob and find one. And also adds more effort to making a gem.
Make the rate a gem actually works on your item less, +1 stat should be easy enough, but still a good chance of a fail or break.
+2 would be much more of a risk, both the risk of wasting the 1mil the gem is worth and risking the item you're using it on.
+3 should be much harder to achieve and most people wouldn't even try it.

Sockets:
Make items drop with sockets less, especially the 3 socket ones.
Make runes much harder to find, and also be nice to have a fail chance with a rune... "Rune failed", could also make it so the socket is no longer available. E.g. 2 socket item, rune fails so now it just has 1 socket.

Well as long as people are not able to quite easily farm 3 slotted item at lower level drops it's fine imho
i mean 90% of all boots are worthless to most players anyways what the 3 hand weight or the 4 bodyweight?
and then you have some level 50 boots that have stats but don't really seem appealing.
An idea could be to make runes drop less but be different.
for example limit rune slots to 2 slots and make bosses drop 0-1ac+0-1dc runes
and for example 15hp and 0-1mc rune
and then theres 0-1ac 20hp rune
but these only drop from higher bosses
this will prevent people from getting huge amount of mc or dc and will make their stats more overall instead of 1 stat.
this also opens up some building path's
for example wizzy will build hp+mc runes
instead of pure mc but using 2 runes here equalevent using 3 runes on the old server
for example 2 new runes equalevent 2mc runes and 1 hp rune
lowering the total strenght of items but making builds better overall

Glads to see it's been taken into consideration. It was something I mentioned during my time with Ace.

I also don't like orbs, and if anything they should be quite rare, so getting an orb from a boss is actually a good drop. Rather than getting 20+ from one EM run.

Also would be nice to some how restrict what can be used.

Weps, Rings and Necklaces can have DC/SC/MC
Braces, Arms, Helm, Belt, Boots AC/AMC (HP & MP too)

Maybe make AC/AMC runes only +1 rather than 2, because an extra 6 amd on a brace can seem quite OTT.

there was nothing OP about orbs imo , yes they should be rarer and speed orbs should me very rare.

I just hope they havent gone crazy on the gems success rate , dont make it so it got like a 50% chance to break your item. No1 will end up even using gems if you just nerf it 2 much.

also gem creation rate should be over 90% imo , has the old ore system been fixed aswell?

Cant you keep orbs in but make them rare? its not soo bad for tao's n wizzy's but warrs and sins are gonna be the ones to suffer from that since they rely on adding alot of different stats to kit unlike tao n wiz who only need to worry bout sc/mc n maybe abit of ac lol. Also when people a fairly rare item they hunt for orbs mainly as its something to do.

Also hoping curse was looked at? as a cursing tao ruined fights completly

On the whole everything sounds good though

Orbs completely ruined the server last time, free chance to upgrade item without the worry of breaking? it was lame, led to overpowered kits.

Is it still the same for crafting Gems? i always thought it it's far too easy to craft them, personally i wouldn't mind seeing that removed and just have them drop from bosses and some monsters, upgraded kits were such a big issue last time, am sure most of us don't want to see it again.

I would personally keep in the crafting NPC to make Gems, just make it harder. As for orbs, leave them out of drops but replace it with a collectable material of which a person can make an orb for a trade of Gems + Materials, its down to the player if they want to gamble 2 Gems for +1 stat or secure the change by making an orb.

Another way would be to put a "Locked" feature on items, so an Orb would be the Last thing you used on it. For example let's say i gemmed a PowerRing to Ac0-2 Dc0-8 that's +4 stats, the Orb would be the 5th stat and it would "lock" the item from further upgrades...

don't they dare to nerf curse it's the reason tao is even viable in acem2 as anything in pvp.

Curse was fine tbh, i mean it would be a game changer if a taoist had it but how long was it when the first one in game dropped? as long as it's rare i think it's fine.

FF on the other hand....nevermind.

All the talk about OP kits doesn't make sense. To be honest everyone having +1 or +2 violet rings and thats the only change between different people is not fun at all. Mir is all about trying to get upgrades, make them, find them or trade for them. If no sockets exist and gemming is super hard then whats the fun? Everyone has the same kit and the server is even more carebear.

The problem most of you have is with those who cheat or those who buy things for irl cash and end up with crazy kits. The only way you will stop this is by making no item variability and then the game is dead for sure. As far as gear outpacing content, thats more to do with balancing content. Silly to reduce the fun of making, finding and buying kit in order to balance gear and content, just balance the content, this is always a more exciting option.

Changing geming, orbs and slots won't really fix your perceived problem, it will merely lower the gear variability, lower the amount you can upgrade anything and make all the content have to be relatively the same in order to compensate for the gear.

IMO there is nothing "exciting" about level 50's running around with mc 7 violet rings, something you could get on a level 20 char....

Agree here somewhat.. Orbs IMO are stupid, even rare they're still stupid, there's no risk, and there's no fun when there's no risk lol.

The rest about removing 'content' that makes people hunt is true, atleast before there was a chance of nice things dropping when you're bored to death trying to grind each day.

Curse was OP, even if it was rare, hope that get's changed aswell.
