ok, i've just got a thought and not sure if this could be my problem...

when u hex your m2server does that update the mir.dat in the folder along with it...also i've noticed that the m2server has the same or nearly the same hex as the mir.exe/.dat :S

when i edit the hex on my m2server...and update it...do i hex the .dat and then save it in my lom folder as mir.exe to update the one in my lom folder..?

ok thank you for your help, every time i update the m2server with hex....i put a copy of my .dat folder into my lom folder as .exe

the mir.dat is just your mir.exe opened in a hex editor then saved in .dat form. Your m2server.exe should be quite diff from your mir.exe although there are some similarities.

Your m2server and mir.exe have NO relation as far as you need to be concerned. If at all possible, try to use the generic mir.dat that came with the server files, and copy that to your mir folder (renamining it to mir.exe). Now as long as the exe the server runs (mir.dat) and the exe you have in your folder (mir.exe) are the same, you wont crash out.

Meanwhile, what ftp update patcher?
