Hi,

So i'm having a pretty annoying problem. I'm currently playing mir Chronicles and have recently purchased a laptop. My pc still runs the server fine but when i run the client from my laptop, it auto dc's from the server around 4-5 minutes in.

i have tried wireless and ethernet. the problem consists.

I have tried another game (WoW), i have no problems there. it's just this game.

no error messages come up but i just immediately DC. I dont know if there has been a similar problem to this but can anyone suggest anything?

it may be chrons anti cheat system

i remember when i first played i was a wiz leveling my tamed mags in omacave and a gm teled to me and told me to "turn it off"

ofc i had no idea what he meant but apparently i was causing the speed hack detector to go apeshit...

i had an overclocked cpu and ram and that was causing it.

are you overclocking your laptop?

yeah - it came overclocked. really annoying. don't know enough about computers to bring it down but also at the same time, seems a bit pointless to bring it down after having paid so much for it

If you run past a certain speed on Chronicles you get flagged as a speed cheater, which is silly as you can tweak to **** on that server lol, some people PC just ran it well especially those with AMD processors for some reason.

Your probably ****ed if your over clocked unless you want to un-do it all, maybe crack your old pc/laptop back out ? Maybe if you dual booted it to something **** like windows vista you might not trigger the anti-cheat system. Pretty sure XP ran Chrons pretty well.
