Mir Servers Getting Stupid/Boring?

Is it just me or is everyone making the same kind of servers lately?

And is it me or are they all using the same Idea or using FrOzEn files, High exp and super/high stats, servers like these just get boring I think its time for a revoution...

...Someone make a great NEW server with NEW ideas...
(am trying myself, but we need more :P)

Atom is the only person that ive heard thats doing new stuff for his server, everything else is just the same crap and it's been like this for ages so waste of time making a thread about it now.

alot of servers, in making are doing alot of new things, but they take a while, for ideas/ actualy doing in, look at BH server, he been adding alot of stuff, and when it gets out of beta(if it ever will) it will be a revelotuin, or Atoms server, or other server makers that dont advertise there servers ,say OMG LOOK I OWN I HAVE NEW IDEA!1!!11!!1one :P

No I don't. If your thinking its because private server ain't that legit then your wrong. Not everywhere you advertise has to be legal.

Start off with a Topsite listing, takes a little banner on the bottom of the board and then with the amounts of hits this place gets a day it will fly up the ranks, which will bring more people.

I also have other places I can advertise that get 1 million+ hits aday. Its just about doing it the right way. You can even advertise more if your willing to pay a little cash.

SoLiD (Shadow)
DarkSide (DS. inc.)
DJP (Goof-Sonic)
those server file are unique and having a potentially hit server.
Also server like:
LOM2 DrakenTest ONLINE And AO_Destiny when they come out will be
something new to look forward.

i prefer the high to low, high=fun, low=tedious

I i wanted to make a server over night i would but thats not what i want

and DS will be different i have not told anyone (apart from Milo) what i am adding to it at the mo

lets just say it will be differnt, harder and long term
one hell of a story
wars wars wars between players, guilds and mobs
and more

most of us have this thing called a LIFE and dont spend all our time doing a server

as i have said before if I had a choice between going out or staying in to work on server i will ALWAYS choose to go out

lmao all those servers at the same, you probably havn't been around long enough to know that tho, by different we mean really different, not just a change in stats and item/mob names.

lmfao u really think he will have 5 less then 5 players at a time.....

BH has the msot advance files first then we have, in europe, he is still wroking on teh server, finding out new stuff, and adding his ideas... he dosent post about DS cause its in beta and there is going to be a char whipe, and not advertisement for it.

and for this post, jebus sake, if youee pople would stop complaining, about how servers are /should be and actualy make your own, you will see its god damn hard...

it takes time doing stuff, like i said in my first post, takes time getting a good proper host, takes time doing a story line, takes time doing maps, takes time redoing stuff.....

DS has been on the works for the last few months....(7-9 months ago)
Atom server has been on works right after Plume wind files released(3-4 months ago)
LOM2 server has been on works before plume wind files released(4-5 months)
The server i am/ doing atm, i been working on for a while(6-7 months)

i can say that, with new developments in the files, new stuff needs to be done, change stuff, add stuf, take away stuf... just takes time.....

DS is over 2 years old and has been updating all the time
and TBH you do better

I really dont care if 5 or 50 players play DS as i said before DS is a hobby notting more nothing less

unlike alot of people here mir DS and LOMCN is not my life

because the files have been updating so fast lately (1.4-DSY-1.9emu-1.9Ledu)
alot of DB, NPC commands, maps, mobs all have to be edited to work with the lasted files

Problem is thats 4 servers using these new files, now all of them using these new files isn't a problem, its if they rely on the files as the main feature of their server, if they do then we will have another server to throw onto the pile of crap, in the new servers we need new ideas and concepts that dont rely on the server files your using.

The perfect example is Val'Hor, Viola was using 1.4 files and made an amazing server, the whole thing was story lined, one big quest with sub quests built in (like a proper game) not just centered on leveling and having the sub quests built around that (EVERY OTHER SERVER EVER MADE), Val'Hor is the only real original server ive seen made (sadly viola stopped it soon before its release and i think the files are now gone forever ), thats what we need to revive the mir community.
