Mir With Vista?

well basically when im playing 2.3 servs with vista its normally fine but on older based file servs its all a bit slow is there any way to make it run properly without having to switch to XP or sumthing?

Run the server in XP compat mode, i use vista ultimate and its no different to what i would run it as on XP also use run as admin.

ok it runs perfect in safe mode but i have no sound any ideas how to enable my sound when im in safe mode?
