Holy water was to remove mystery items which had the attribute similar to RMS's which stopped the user from removing them. They didn't break on death either irc.

Box of HolyWater had nothing to do with the HolyWater in mystery cave, i believe it contained a HP buff potion(100), an MP buff potion(100) and a damage buff potion(0-7 i think), each lasted 1hour long and lasted through death/logout.
