Hi,

If i wanted to put sounds onto the monsters from the graphics folder.

What number do they start from?

i.e Mon19 is like that.

2000:
2001: wav\2000-1.wav
2002: wav\2000-2.wav
2003: wav\2000-3.wav
2004: wav\2000-4.wav
2005: wav\2000-5.wav
2010:
2011: wav\2010-1.wav
2012: wav\2010-2.wav
2013: wav\2010-3.wav
2014: wav\2010-4.wav
2015: wav\2010-5.wav
2020:
2021: wav\2020-1.wav
2022: wav\2020-2.wav
2023: wav\2020-3.wav
2024: wav\2020-4.wav
2025: wav\2020-5.wav

graphic file mob?

20 0 0 means

20 = XX+1 (monXX)
0 = first mob in that mon file
0 = type of sound (nearby, attack, die etc)

You never said it's not a standard client. I have no idea about those ones then.

How do you use them in the DB?

They're simply an extra place that allows for more images that you find in most sets of files these days including TD's.

All you do is have one mob per wil/wix and then the number of the wil is what you put in the db.

As for the sounds, theres a guide posted by preacher I think that explains how to add sounds for normal mobs, try that with the gfx folder.

Okay forget the client. It shouldn't care if it's in the Data/Mon* or Graphics/*

In your Monster DB...

If the mob's APPR is 200

2000: wav\2000-0.wav spawn/unstone
2001: wav\2000-1.wav nearby
2002: wav\2000-2.wav attack
2003: wav\2000-3.wav weapon
2004: wav\2000-4.wav being hit
2005: wav\2000-5.wav die

That's wrong by the way kaori, if your mob appr is 200 it would be Mon21.wil which would start at 2200.wav, not that it matters but i'm not having any joy with this graphics folder.
I've calculated that if the graphics folder was to follow the same pattern as the mon.wil's then 1000.wil should start at wav number 101000, and it's not. I've tried messing about with a few others but nothings coming up.

Anybody solve my problem? lol.

I've solved the problem but I can't remember the solution. I do remember what causes the problem though I think.

Due to the graphics folder having higher numbers theres a problem with the order due to the sounds for skills.

The skills come after the normal mobs and so this pushes all of the graphics mobs out of place.

There is a pattern, you just have to find it.

Well thanks for that. There are too many numbers to play with to be honest, Does it get pushed higher up or lower down? thing is your looking at lots of 0 numbers that have to have the precise number to work. Could take a longggggg time. :(

Yeh it took me ages hehe, I had to search through loads of sounds until I found the one I wanted.

I have a couple of mobs added in my graphics folder at home along with the sounds they use. So when I get home in a few hours I'll post that info and it should be enough for you to figure out whats going on.
