CAPS has nothing to do with it, mir is not case sensitive. If it was you could have two D001 maps, d001 and D001. This might sound stupid, but try testing it with a non-gm character, you may have left GM mode on or some other little mistake like that(don't worry we've all made mistakes like that lol).

How is it that mir isn't case sensitive .. you can't prove that you can't have a map named d001 and D001 can you? .. just, you can't not prove it either.. cuz can't place maps with the same name in MAP folder (maps with same names can't go in same folder in Windows).. but you may,be 100% right solitude.. but iz it possible its case sensitive with my hypothesis?

You missed one vital point in hypothesis, if you made a map called D001.map and put d001 in the mapinfo it would still work. Therefore Mir is not case sensitive.

I'll explain it for you. Lets say we just got done making a map and we save it as

Code:
MAP0123.map

We then add it to the Mapinfo.txt as
Code:
[map0123 NewMapThing 0]

The mapinfo details are in a different case to the map name, but it still works. Therefore Mir is not case sensitive.

That make sense now??

so .. if i made a Map named map0123.map and MAP0123(with extension .map and not add it to the name) then in mongen i put:
MAP0123 archer 1 2 3 4 45(however it is)
map0123 archer 12 3 345(however it is

then went to Mapfino:

[MAP0123 Test1 0] LIGHT
[map0123 Test2 0] LIGHT

it wouldn't be 2 diff maps?

if u dont do CAP's in say BW= 0 it will make mobs stand still and only
hit u when u are right next to them

for bw .. like as in map PW09 woul dmake mobs stand still and pw09 wouldn't for example .. cuz "0" for BW and being capital is fonusion cuz ")" is a capital 0 on the keyboard(well not a capital just the secondary for the key) (There is no capital "0".. im sure lol)

@Blam i'm thinking thats what this thread was about.. but Solitude said that being capital or not capital doesn't mean anything. Maybe it does =/ .. i would test .. but not at home atm.

To my experience it does make a difference - I used a great map created by a guy on these forums - left it as ut02 - Then went into map to test on 127.0.0.1 and the lagg was insane - the mobs remained in their place and didnt fall after being killed, meaning I was still attacking them, the boss mob didnt follow, basically nothing moved. A friend pointed out that its the map name problem so I changed the map name to UT02 and my problem was solved instantly.

Just my twopenneth in hope that it helps :)

I've made plenty of my own maps and added to my server .. never once have i heard anyone refer to that number as Bw .. Bw = BichonWall in my mind. And why do U call that 0 Bw anyhow?

Appears somebody is abit odd in the head :P . .no j/k
