There’s threads of arguments n only resolved by mods moaning n locking, do moderators no longer actually moderate and keep threads ALIVE, delete un-necessary posts and inform those posing to be aware of the possible consequences.

Now all lomcn mods seem to go 'oh look its gone off topic' n lock the thread, which in a sense completely goes against the ideas of what moderators sense of duty are, and thus causes the arguments with a repeating cycle.

With comments from the now locked new mods announcement, yes I agree with the staff that its irrelevant who is a mod/admin/smod as long as they do what their supposed to do. Anyone who have ever ran a forum will know that you don't actually need to understand the topic to know what actions to take and when, it is just a matter of experience. However at the same time staff (especially those in an admin position) need to look at all sides and not go in guns blazing.

P.S when did urban disappear?

P.P.S yes im bored

Agreed... at the end of the day people aren't going to stop speculating until it's out in the open, which it will be, eventually.

Most moderators on here don't know how to do anything but lock and ban. The other tools are there for a reason too.

p.s. urbans a c0ck

Lol urban was alot of things (both gd n bad) but he was a decent mod :ppunk:

And yeah I agree from what I see its just lock n ban/warn. It's not even that hard to mod, I remember when me beachy auron and blasteron admin'd the forum, it all comes down to structure, team work, and a bit of respect on all sides.

I still feel lomcn has alot of potential just dripping away :(

Some threads are a wate of time us cleaning, especially those in this GoT section.

If there important threads and helpful threads, i will delete the posts that I feel as spam. But if the threads are just full of spam and useless, then theres no point deleting the posts...

Well seeing as Noz and I are new GoT mods, i'm sure we will take your comments into concideration.
I myself (being a GoT addict) know how annoying it is to making a legit topic for people to discuss and then it going off topic with people flaming each other, then being locked by a Mod.
I know i'll be trying my best to keep threads alive to the topic it was intended for. I do agree with an off topic note now and then, after all it is GoT, but there's a line between that and a blatent flame argument between a few people.

Have to agree with you there Jealy. As for threads in other sections, Jealy and myself have no powers to delete and clean threads. Therefore asking for it to be closed is the best we can do til a Smod or admin can clean it and get it under control.

I'd like to see myself as fairly laid back, I'm not one for dishing out points left right and centre. I prefer to talk the matter out via PM or a quick post before anything else.

I hope we can all get along here.

Are you forgetting that last week you were the prime culprit of that? Mug.

If it's not your section, stay the **** out of it (Y)

That's for the other mods to take care of.

But surely thats the whole point of the GoT, the fact that we can talk about pointless things, n have a laugh. Thats the whole reason the post counter was turnt off on this section, whilst mods do delete the posts that violate the rules but spam doesnt matter as long as its not in a violation of any rules.

Why tell him to calm down? hes only speaking the truth.

The truth can be spoken in many forms, the calm down is directed at the abusive attiude, could of easily said the same thing in a differant way without the agressiveness.

theres no cleaning most threads in GoT. if it gets out of hand the whole thread goes tits up and no one eva posts bak on topic. so it gets closed.

as this is a GoT section, we only remove posts which are against the rules, not random spamming.

TBH i dont know why we need 4 mods on this section, it hardly gets much action nowadays anyway.

I have a idea, strait up good one, if i make a thread called "Flame on" as u've said the only reason that u lock/close/delete it is because it goes off topic, well :) it woulnd't be going off topic as it is a flame topic, you'd just be contradicting yourself's if u did delete it.

LOMCN Global Forum Rules and Guidelines said:
Do not post anything threatening, offensive, obscene, vulgar, sexually orientated, or hateful (abuse/flaming)

Flaming and/or provoking flaming is against the rules, thus making that thread would also be.

So whereas it wouldn't get locked for being spam or going off topic, it would for said reason.
