I thought at first the clients were bugged as mon 21 displays a npc instead (though shows you the shadow fine) - i tried the latest 3g and sure enough - its still a npc - which means the problem is server side, appr 200 onwards somehow is encoded in the server to be npc's.

Two solutions really....

1. Fix the server (no idea as yet)
2. Insert the mobs insto empty space

Prob with 2 is that this again increases the patch size - something im sure we are all keen to avoid but for now - only way i can think of..

couldn't you just export everything in Mob21. and then put them all into a new .wil libary. and creat a new mon. that should work right?

Errr lets see - MON 1 - 20 are full of mobs - all used to me knowledge in some form or another, there is as i stated empty spaces within each of the files and i did state that one solution was to insert the mobs into these spaces ...BUT.... this "Increases" the number of files from the plain 1.4 Install that needs to be supplied by the host in order for you, the player to see these mobs.

The goal surely is to have the least amount of download from the basic install - otherwise we are heading back down the road of patches per server as each host might insert the mobs into different places, easiest solution is to Hex the server with the right nummers to show the mobs in 21 - unfortantly this is not widly know ATM - and chances are even if someone fids the information - they might well not shre that info as already seen on countless occasions...

Which is what I said bascially - the client side is fine in the respect its reading the mon21 no problems - the issue here is the server not putting on screen the right image. Using the latest client (which after all can read mon21 no probs along with the horse etc) this is a good way to check / verify if its the client side or the server side for example.

The server will ned hexing to display the correct image client side, i beleive we already have a client (old interface) that displays MON21 - so we need to focus our attension on the server i think

ah i get it now, its not that mon21 is corrupt or something it just that our server files doesn't complie with the mon21. so what i said will make no difference to it at all.
