Have you set up the DB correctly through the BDE administrator? You heed to make sure you've named the new database to HeroDB, and the path is set correctly.

Was only a suggestion :/ Search doesn't reveal that problem (mind you, I've never had to save my changes to DBs - it does it automatically).

Try making a few edits then just closing DCcommander - see if that saves it.

Ah, you're using a Server Editor to do DB work :/ Thought you were actually using DBcommander....

Try getting hold of DBcommander and its crack and using that for Database editing - I find it far better.

If you've installld it, go into your \Mud2\DB folder.

From there, you can see your monster.DB, stditems.DB and magic.DB

You can edit each of them by right clicking and selecting 'open with' and selecting DBcommander for the list (or you can browse for the program if it isn't there first time).

It opens like an Excel spreadsheet with a few extra feaures. It doesn't require saving, and requires an Idx number, which for each entry must be unique, and must all show in exact numerical order (no numbers missed out or arranegd in the wrong order - starts at 0)

The field names are pretty much explanatory for most, but if you're unsure just search up for a list of exactly what each does.

The idx number's are not going in numerical order.

Should be

0,1,2.........150,151,152 etc.

You just change the idx number, look over all the idx numbers, and if you see one wich is out of order change it so it will be correct, you wont have to move any entrys, just change the value under the idx column.
