What results were shown when stacking MR vs a monk? Can they even hit you?

i actually think monks are lacking atm compared to other classes if their shaolin doesnt go faster with A.speed.

Btw is thunder shaolin spammable like tdb?

Yes it is, the stun is good once you get level 2 of the spell

Monks are doing basically no damage iv not been able to solo hunt once because there so weak and I'm level 34..

duel screening

please check that everything is how its ment to be because they are weak as **** i think even taos could solo level faster...

Where have you been levelling?

At that kind of level you need to be in lower end caves still. Like how warriors level in low level caves. Get the Bug Cave.

Dont deserve a nerf for this. GMs will just **** up the server yet again from people moaning as they want a class boosted for their own benefits.

Test servers showed monks being powerful

iv been to all the low lvl areas such as ST PT PSC and i hit anything from 12-40 its just to silly and i have 18-42 sc and hitting that bad...

ps this is not for my own need i just really want to know whats going on.

maybe some little depth with the spells and **** and what monk need?

sc / dc / a speed / acc?

atm it seems like a puzzle because there doing no damage with sc gear.

And what skills are you using? Are they all level 3?

that thunder slaolin should be doing similiar damage to tdb but no armor piercing.(both hits in 1 hit) if you ask me if it's only doing 40 each hit I'll laugh so hard

So monks are dps class? That scales off SC? But is weaker than all other classes of similar level currently?
Is this correct?

only thing they have over other classes is high levels that can chase people with their thunder aoe that uses 50 mp each second(will never be used on hunts)

After reading that i decided not to even bother to check the class.


ProtectShield - Allows the caster to sacrifice attack power for defense for a period of time.

why?
sounds like a good skill for walling/tanking in pve and supporting in pvp by taking less damage but still causing flinch and blocking.

should be given to warrior those are tankier anyways

les change the dc gain from rage to warrior stops flinching and make them a real tank.



if monk should be a tank give them a bigger health pool cause a tank that does less damae then a warrior and is also less tanky is quite abnormal

1) In pve there is no tanking. Unless there is a taunt skill ingame that works in pve and im unaware of.

So its simply a sort of self-buff skill and thats where the problem is. Every class has a way of buffing their defence (magic shield, blesses, agility, profield) with no drawbacks yet the server team felt it would look more cool to complicate that and add a drawback to an already **** class.

Its their way of thinking that puts me off. Their way is just anti-fun.
How much better would it be to make a spell for example that gives you 1.5x dmg but removes all ac/amc and 200 max hp?

what if its a 500% defensive boost with a 10% damage reduction? would be a great skill to use when fighting a sin. because you still deal damage and can "tank" a little more damage.

I've not seen any of the monk in practice but personally wouldn't write a class off due to a description of a skill.
If you do know the rates of buff/nerf then fair enough.


to me it sounds like a "stance" so instead of swapping kit full prime stat for leeling, mixed defensive/prime stats for pvp you just hit a button and don't have to swap skills.


If I had a skill on a sin raise Agil by 10 - reduce DC by 20 - it would be like me swapping from my dc kit to my agil kit without the effort of swapping items.

same applies to wiz, +25% hp minus 10% MC - just like equipping a red flower set.

a level 34 warrior would only have been hitting much more than that if he had been stupid kitted. Ie. Powerrings and the likes. Are you as well kitted as that?

monks did seem awesome from some of the videos. If nothing has changed then they will need a nerf if it gets changed now to boost the levelling.

PT should be consider top 30s low 40s.

After 13months i think we both can be sure that this server team isnt gonna do something as usefull as that. They dont have enough mir sense to do it.

Dont get me wrong. This server team is amazing at what they are doing. Just what they are doing is not fun for me. Its just replicating Wemade's work including all the good and all the bad things they have done (aka solid ish updates that happen once per year)

Edit: I didnt write monks off because of that skill but because i watched some streams while ppl were testing em. It was a class that used thursting as a main attack without using aspeed. It was painful to watch a lvl33 monk needing 10hits to kill a boar.

dunno where you have been living but once a warr hits 32 he shits on minos with 50x2 each tdb on okay hits
a monk hitting 40 on his decent his isn't eeven remotely the same and 42 sc at level 34 is massive that what a level 45 tao averagely has(he has way above average kit)
