my final year project.

hey guys. for my final year project at uni i have to create an online exam system for students to take. it will be done using ASP.net and encorporated into a website, but am unsure as to what my options would be to enter and hold the questions and answers for the exam in a table.

would using microsoft access be the best solution, or are there better database programs out there that would be better for linking with ASP?

Wouldn't SQL be the best choice?

Might take a little longer to set up but it would look better on a CV

and ive been thinking sql would prodably be better.

im seeing my supervisor today. but since i kno nothing about ASP.net, i thought it might be better to do it in php and mysql.

any one with experience have an idea what would be the best language to do it in? it needs to be accessable online, and the only two i can think of is ASP and PHP.

although someone who did my project last year wrote it in c# and sql server 2000. not sure how he did that to work online?

In my 2nd year I did a online lunch ordering system using Java and SQL.

We used JSP which basically displays the java as a webpage. I'm sure there will be similar things around for C#.

I'm sure you could do figure it out using any language you prefered.

talked to my supervisor today. decided to do php and mysql.

iv already had abit of experience with php and mysql (using WAMP) with a world of warcraft account creator. so i think that might be an easier and safer choice.

Sounds good, probably the easiest way to do it if you have some experience of it.
