u cud do satin plus a gradient i tryed it sometimes looks gd gradient in fireworks is under its normally on like grid 2 or grid 3 at start then choose satin a gradient and next to gradient change the 50 % to like 100 so it shows more.

Heres one i made - Using Satin and a Gradiant - turned into a swirl effect.
