its ok. but some bad points i see are..
the emboss you've used on most of the larger text looks 'amataur' its neva a good looking style imo.
and the black outline in the text in the circles is too large.
also not too keen on that black/white background, try making the white more faded.
good layout, and i like the smaller text and image.

Cheers mate, Yeh i think the white needs to go abit more blue perhaps, also i think when i made the logo in the middle i faded the font abit too much. Yeah i see what you mean about the black! I was trying to find another font to go with that one but couldnt find anything that i liked which was simular, I was going to try do like Ray Beams in the back ground but couldnt work out how to on photo shop!
I have to agree with the points already made. The larger font needs changing and the circled font needs thinning out.
I like the background but it needs something else, the white is far too bold perhaps and blue/white fade might be better and it would tie in with the main logo.
Apart from that its good. All your main points are bold and obvious. Its fairly eye catching.

I don't really look and star and the flyer i just scan through, place and time and entry fee. Then i go. Don't worry too much just hand them out, half of people keep them half chuck them on floor so don't make the floor too pretty.
This is excellent advice imho.
It's not just how something is designed, it's how it's designed for the purpose.
Most flyers I get handed around town get thrown into the nearest bin (unfortunately) - so i'd go for a more easily read, eye-catching design that's not too heavy on colour (ink), as this will save printing costs.

Theres always one! I hope you get warned about that! Also cheers pogs yes its boring but really its only a flyer which your going to look at once gather the info you need then as said above it will possibly be chucked away maybe if it was work i would be always viewing say a sig i would have tried abit harder!

The problem is, Its hard to add other bits and make them look right, If you could try suggest anything to add then feal free. The main point in a flyer is to just give people info that they need not to draw them away from the info just to look at good designs.
