I can't be ****ed reading the whole topic but I skimmed through and thought why don't you just buy a new system with ports which will be easily upgradeable in the future. eg. AM2.

ppl r stating about ur processers. once uv used CPU-Z take a screen sht of ur core (processer) speed.im guessing with having 2.8 u will b getting around 3000.

on this 1 im using its 2x2.8 an for each im getting around 3600 (rough reading) if uv got the core speed u just need a graphics card. anythin close to (other than just 1 gig ram)1.5gig ram will b good.

now u have ur motherboard system research it and see what they say about what u can use on it
