My WD1200JB hits aroud 58MB Read and around 48-55Write depending thats PATA, there same frigging drive when made on PATA/SATA look at serial numbers, the interface is the only difference and you pay more for it, and it does nothing lol but you lot sit there and be blinded and i'll sit here knowing full well im not getting ripped off when i maintain the use of PATA drives untill i see unquestionable evidence that PATA is in FACT slower then there SATA Counterpart based around the same model, bare in mind all manufactures are different, which is why SATA drive may appear to be faster when its just the fact the drive is different.

Well, I'm proud of my little baby. 3 years old and haven't had any serious problems for over 12 months.

It's a humble Athlon 1700xp, 256Mb SDRam, Radeon 7000VE gfx (dual monitor and tv out), onboard sound, and a 150k DSL connection.... All lovingly finished off with a delightful 14" SVGA CFT Monitor.

You don't need super computers. I run a successful Web Design business from home with my little baby =)
