n00b question, please help if u can

Ok never done hexing before or anything. Have downloaded a hex editor and the ulimate guide to hexing. I have hexed my m2.server no problems as far as i can see.

Now when i run the game it quits back to windows because i do not have a hexed mir.exe, so i thought right i need to hex my mir.exe aswell (im only guessing) so opened that serched for the line i was looking for, but string cannot be found.

What i wanna no is:

1. Am i doing the right thing by hexing my .exe?

2. Why cant i find the string im looking for?

3. If im not doing the right thing, what do i need to do.

well, hexing your m2server doesnt mean that u have to hex your mir.exe also... if the problem is that after chosen your char u press enter to enter the game and u get kicked its because u have changed the mir.exe.

in this case u have to copy the mir.exe and past it into the mir200 folder of the mirserver, cancel the mir.dat which is in that folder and rename the mir.exe that u pasted there into mir.dat (make sure u have all the extension visible, to do it in the folder do menu tool>properties and tick view full extensions or something similar)
