Can anybody recommend one that doesn't want silly money?

Needs a fairly good CPU and 12gb ram.

I created a free server via oracle cloud but once people are in different dimensions, the servers craps its self

I don’t have any providers themselves but stay away from anything branded “Minecraft Servers”

It’s all a load of ****, over charging for specs etc.

I was literally just thinking about the whole minecraft marketing, and how a dedi might be cheaper that's not branded for games

Is there no way to have a single Minecraft server run by multiple physical servers? Or is that sort of thing work only for games/modes?

I know some huge servers have several hosts running it but that's a bit much for me.

Yeah was maxed out. The server runs fine until somebody goes in another dimension.

I might just scrap the idea as a dedi is expensive as well. It's a damn shame as well as it tuck me like 7 hours to figure out the whole oracle cloud server and get it setup with mods

I was wondering if it made sense to make a few vps's on orcale to run it, might run better? but no idea what or how they do that lol,

who's playing? how many people? people willing to chip in?

No one's PC strong enough to run it when your all on?

3-5 people max. Generally 3 on at once. People are willing to chip in but i'd rather spite myself than all pay £10 a month for a reliable server. My PC would easily host it but I'm not willing to host it 24/7.

I guess I've just become cheap as I've aged xD It just feels like a ludicrous price to pay monthly

Yeah i almost went with them.

My work has just given me a decommissioned server so I'll give that a go
If its an actual rack mount server your going to get noise and heavy power consumption if its on the older side too lol.

If you have a spare pc knocking about you can just do your port forwarding on it and host on that thats what i do now it runs fine although i only ever have up to 5 people on at a time at the moment
