need a little help here

ok i have the server running no errors but when i try to log in screen is black and i get conection closed yes i have been searching and i the guides and even rechecked my port setting im i missing something

Are you on a router?
Have you set up the CLIENT .ini's correctly?
Post a screenshot of the server programs running.

ok yes i have a router and all ports are fowarded well the ones in all the ini's for the server i belive i have the client ini set right cause the patch hooks up with my ftp server

you can't use www.whatever.com in the ini

i even changed it to my numerical ip and it didnt work ither

which one did you change? mir.ini or ftp.ini
also... try in cmd...

telnet www.gladshiem.net 7000

if it blanks then it works... then it's your client ini's... get the original one and change it there.

i have tried nurmaric ip with and with out port
i have tried dns name with and without port still conection closed i have run emu servers befor dont know what i have done wrong here

cuz I don't have problem connecting to your login gate... so it must be your client...

i will try that maybe my client is bad i can use any 1.4 client right ?

1.4 client should work with the login part... not sure about selchar/game part... maybe client version problem.

well i got that to work after making char try to get in the server the client crashes
back to the drawing board more reading maybe some one has had this problem i will try to search it out dont want to take up your time

That's the old version of the files wich were very bugged and are unfinished. The current ones are NOT bugged, and have TONS more added, new NPC commands, new monster attacks, new GM commands, etc. etc.
