Need Help for setup my server

I am new on setup a server of Mir2, i get loss below.

1, If i got a server file 2.6 version, where i can find the client?

I tried 3-4 client, but can not work with the server file, One best is can log into game but all pic is wrong, other one i can login account, but after select character the client dead and close.

2, How can i register a new account with my server file, i really puzzle on that.

3, is there a simple guide for new?

I tried some 2.3 version server file, but my AVG always warnning me virus or hacker tools

Anybody want help me?

Why would you post this in a release section?

First of all no point using 2.6 files as they're buggy and not being fixed.

Secondly there are no viruses in 2.3 files, it's a long story but your AV is wrong.

But then again, TD's files have backdoors in it which all the knobs on these forums know about now. No point in using those.
Try to be like Bon, start out using td's, make ass loads of money off it, pay some half wit coder to copy/paste some new bits in, make loads more money, get sent lomcn approved section, then act like you know wtf you are talking about, simple.

Goto resident shield in AVG and goto execptions and ad the path to your Mirservser folder also do this for your client folder it will stop avg messing about with your exe`s! Also as said above your best bet are still td`s 2.3 files at the mo which most clients work with, You make an account once you get in game you click the New button!

Obsession is such an overused word on this forum. Mainly by Bon ofcourse, anyone who doesn't bum his server has an obsession with him.

Weikster makes me laugh though because it's so true, and anyone who can't see that is a dim wit who doesn't deserve an opinion in the first place.

actually i don't play bons server, i don't even know bon :P just seems on every thread that bon posts on Weikster replies with a comment saying something about him/his server

I was got new problem on 2.3 server,

when i start M2server.exe get error " StartTimer exception: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server can not access" i was changed !setup and dbsrc.ini to correct information already, i am using MSSQL 2005, is it possible port wrong?

Other problem is dbserver show error

Do i need to use MSSQL or MYSQL? SQLPORT = 3306 Is That Mysql port?

in i mean Port 3306 is Mysql connect port. that's not MSSQL, but i found all guilde talking about MSSQL. i hard to understand what's wrong.

I am still in trouble to contact my MSSQL 2005.

I will try more , and watch more post. or any good guy can help me.

SQLPassword=123456---->Try changing to sa and see if that works

NAME-PC\SQLEXPRESS------> Whatever you have named your PC replace
the NAME-PC with this

OMG , Thanks so much akacary2 , i spend 3 days to solve it. the server is running now

Get another problem on client, I was copy m2server/mir2.exe to client, when i login all pic location is wrong, i can not use any button function, all pic show at wrong location. what i need to do? or how can i get a right client connect to?

they may not be in the tbl_mongen u will have to add them

There is some data in tbl_mongen, not empty. the database is restore from the file, i think it's ok. maybe i just need setup something in server.

i search the forum. somebody say i need active server mode: Venture mode, in fect i am not sure what's different with Test mode Service mode and Venture mode, but i test all active or not, still no mobs in game >,<

Do i have do anything more? I am really new on setup the server, hope get help from this great forum and more helpfull ppl.

how long u waiting for the mobs to spawns?
some times it takes 5-8 mins

Try adding a mob to the TBL_MONGEN urself at woteva coords u set and then go ingame and see if it spawns there and c how long it takes. Normally when u first get the server files the TBL_MONGEN is all screwed up anyways ( normally set for spawns in Event maps or lightning cave etc)
