right ive built my new pc from scratch

MothersBoard. PT890T-A LGA 775 SOCKET 2007 New model.
CPU. Intel Pentium D 930 3GHZ
400WATT PSU.
PENTIUM D HEATSINK/FAN
160GB SATA HDD
SAPPHIRE PCI EXPRESS Graphics card
512 DDR-2 533 RAM

right here's my problem when i plugg everything in. and turn on the PC all works fine.. (Front fan/Back fan) but i get a black screen i try enter BIOS (Press delete or F1) nothing appear's turn screen off and on. says No Signal. tryd the Graphics card in my dad's computer. graphics card works fine. the Mouse/Kayboard. USB's dosnt work. i have read through the mother's board manual and nothing. dose anyone no what problem is causing this?

NOTE this piccy is like mine but ive attached everything on.

If you don't get ANY beeps from the machine, either the CPU (least likley) is borked or the motherboard is (probable considering its a ****ty ECS board)

It could be a problem with the ram aswell.

I had a machine once that did that due to a ram stick it didn't like.

Ditto, but it didn't like the stick because the connector pins were covered with crap ^^.

I bet he gave something some static electricity though.

well ive brought DDR-2 533 from a online shop. should be here soon thx for the reply's shall try again when it arive's pissing me off now :(

is it onboard g/card or agp/pci-e.

Cause i now on some makes of mobo's you have to enable the apg/pci-e within bios.

But 9/10 its always the mobo that causes probs like this.


its a pci-e graphics card there is no port's on back to hook upto the montior the I/O port's workin now sortd that problem out gonna w8 till my ram arrive's hopfully it will be soon

I've never seen that happen before. Usually if your ram is borked, the motherboard beeps.

Mine just stubbornly did nothing untill i cleaned the stick. Didn't even beep!

okay my DDR-2 ram arived today and i installed it. (static free) had a look through the BIOS Setup. and i seem fine how it look's went to boot from CD (F8) (Motherboard driver CD) comes up with

NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

where can i fix this problem? BIOS? tryd this with my Window's XP CD and same.

i was tryin to boot from 2 CD's Motherboard driver CD + Window's XP Home CD nothing worked kept getting that error and when i did manage to get past that error (Running XP) it check's for file's then comes up with a blue screen saying shutting down PC .. then have a list below says summat like disable BIOS Memory or summat. didnt get much information as i got vpissed off. so went out for a chill pill
