Im a massive fan of PVP, but i agree with the "care bears". PVP is only fun if people participate. if its just the same 6 idiots its not fun.
If you could involve 200 People at an SW war.... you'd be having to much fun to notice that no-ones dropping, and the reward of sw would be reward enough. (actually you'd probarly just instantly lag out and die, as Mirs engine couldnt handle it)
Guild V Guild competition is what makes Mir, I had loads of fun on euro fighting at OKS/MK/ZT and we didnt have body drops then.
removing drops isn't going to achieve 200 player sw's lets face it, its unlikely to achieve 50-100. pve players are pve players for a reason - they put boss hunting / lvling before pvp, changing to a none drop zone isn't going to change their priority towards pvp, sure they may go to an sw occasionally if they not doing anything but their main role of the game is pve.
where as removing drops will effect the pvp people more, i expect some would even refuse to participate in sw anymore, so what was the core of sw depletes. leaving us with less reason for pve players to go to sw.
Valid points made
- There should be a free for all every 2 weeks where all guilds can participate. (i say 2 weeks as 1 week would remove the point of relics) or add a new item which drops from one of the new Orc boss's a freeforall relic.
- There should be a direct teleport from mw to sw gates (we all know defending is easier than attacking, this balances it out abit more, and is more likely to get ppl involved with 1 click than with the rting hassle)
- SW should have more incentives (a pulsing humeffect of sort at their feet would be a good start to distinguish sw owners as mentioned by Wildgirl) - maybe some sort of commemorative hall of statues to display each sw owner from past to present (with dates held)
- A guild ranking tab - perhaps number of days they held sw in a row, would have to start fresh as noone has been interested in sw since start of server lol. (perhaps number of kills at sw if possible?)
