i had it ages ago. its a messanger that lets u send messages to people on your network.

does anyone know what this is called?

Net send* then computername/ip/domain

If you're on XP chances are Messanger service has been disabled, that's the annoying one that spams your screen with messages from people on the interweb. You'll need to activate it though.

NetSend is hardly a fully fledged network communication tool. Once upon a time I used a program called GoxBox for a similar setup at middle school - no idea if its still available, has been around 4/5 years.

If you can't afford something like Live Communications Server from Microsoft :P - then I suggest you google 'network tcp/ip instant messaging'.

Check the dependancies and make sure they are on.

i got one "ntsend" just gotta see if it works... think u need prgram installed on every computer

gimp it dont say owt under tab, theres nothing to be on.....

Yeah thats the windows messaging service (netsend). Most machines since windows xp service pack 2 have the service disabled. You can make something which utilised the netsend technique through Visual Basic or similar programming language but the service will need to be enabled on the target machine.

Just do it through remote computer management, you might even be able to set up a policy for an entire domain if it's more than one computer. I'm not sure, check the group policy editor.
