lol does some1 know how to network two comps i tryed last night and i think i got the wrong cable... is it a Cross-Over cable you need?
why not just buy a gateway router adsl modem hub thingy-ma-jiggy 
then u just get two standard RJ-45 cables and ur done (or u can get wireless.... cost a bit more tho)

Wireless routers are about the same price, tis the cards that are costly.
hi ther or ure looking for is a Patch Cable 2 connect 2x pcs and have internet access, if u have 3 or more ul need a hub or router

you need 2xNIC's,1xRJ45 cable(crossover) connect em up, then run the xp networking wizard on the xp machine, choose to let it be host, and after its done, it will ask u wether u wanna put the networking wizard files onto floppy, choose yes
take the floppy to ur win me machine, run the setup again on the win me machine and choose not to be host, and ur just about done
Its a lil bit more complicated than that, but essentially thats how it can be done
