I am looking for the best laptop possible for the value of 400-600 pounds. I am looking myself but I wanted to see what offers have caught the eyes of others.

your best bet is ebuyer.co.uk /.com one of them.

i won this laptop however if i payed for it, it would have been between 400-500 but it does everything i want it to do etc, 4gb ram.

however there are some better ones on there with 500gb harddrive, 4gb ram etc and im pretty sure they were under 600

I wouldnt buy a laptop with more than 2gb ram, For one whats the point?! I never fully use my 2gb ram, Secondly my misses has a laptop with 3gb ram which often over heats and blue screens. I would try finda decent laptop with dual core CPU and about 2gb ram and the best possible GFX card you can get.

Useless amount of RAM unless you went x64.

I'm not into laptops.

They're called Notebooks now, anyway.

I bought the second one 2-3 months back, it's on 10-18 hours a day, every day, generally playing a film and using it for browsing forums + msn etc. I also use it for Mir (which I assume you will be?) and it obviously runs it fine, not used anything more draining, but then I never bought it for anything more than that.

Wait until they have 50+ in stock and the price drops by £50, they ****ed me over by upgrading the GFX card from an ATI Radeon 3200 HD to ATI Radeon 4500 HD less than 2 weeks after I bought mine - But that's dropped back down again now, might be worth contacting them to see if it goes back up.

Again im going to guess the reason for that is due to over heating. A laptop case is to small for anything too exteme not enough air flow.
