New player questions

Hi so i'm new to this mir3 thingy and to this server.... i wanted to ask is there any way to lock the chat window and other windows? i often find myself moving them @ and that cuases lag to my game, not sure if it laggs everybody else when doing it.

Also low lvl items can be good for selling if they have a certian stat? Should i keep my eye on something ? Because at the moment i don't know how special stats are working and what is good and bad, when i say low lvl items i mean 30- items, because i assume from 30 + a special item can be good for certian people .

If there is anything else you guys can share with me that i need to keep my head up for let me know bellow .

Accessory refining is free from an npc in bichon next to the weapon npc (to level up accessory use 5 of the same, next lvl you require 20 and so on...), people upgrade even the lowest accessories (usually bracelets) because you can obviously get them up easier and as a result if you farm a place with high item drop rate it's a good source of income (low lvl braces 10k sells ez) or you can farm fleas/ants for cash.

EI (elemental defense) is the best stat for accessories and regardless of level it sells for a lot, EA is elemental attack and EV is ele disadvantage which you do not want.

To lock chat windows just get them in the positons you want then press ctrl+O and save all.

Thank you very much for the reply i will keep an eye on all those things. Also i lvled my healing to lvl 3 and now for the next lvl it says " secret " i assume it's something that will be added or anybody know the secret and the quest you need to do to lvl your spells further?


Later edit : Pressing ctril+O does not show any " lock option " ... i still can move everything around, by lock i mean i way to block them in the position they are so i don't move them by mistake when i lvl wich happens alot of the times

I get that sometimes i accidentally resize them when my mouse is going all over the place, would like jamie to put a lock on resize/move changes if possible. If you need help with tao pm me.

How is that helping? if i check that one, i will not be able to see the chat at all ... might have some problems with my eyes as i can't see well all those colors there ( i know i can edit them but i edited them same style as mir 2 :P )

Are you playing on 1080 by any chance? i was trying that but i feel like my char is to small on my 24'' monitor >.< Also how you made that on top of the screen to show ping and coords ?

i'm gonna try this one and see how it works out for me, the only problem i find is that the text will be really small after and i'm gonna have trouble reading it lol. Thanks for sharing this again

i play on 45" hd tv with wireless mouse and keyboard....i have similar problem with using high resolution in game settings, my char feels tiny and text is almost unreadable especially if its late night and im laying back on my sofa playing xD

in alpha i noticed making the text and icon size in windows settings to large helped the text in game, however it was changed now no matter on text size setting the text is always small in zircon

any chance of a large text game setting for those whos vision isnt great?

I can't view the screen shot as at work.

Have you opened the .ini file for Zircon? Inside change the text size option to a -X number this will increase the text. May I also suggest editing the font to something like Arial Black or an alternative that's a bit more "chunky". While this can cause some errors with the bottom UI and a couple of the boxes where the text spills over it will make it much easier to read when playing at a higher res.


As for the ping, co-ords etc its under the Game options tab, check the "debug" box and it will give you the ping, co-ords etc at the top of the screen.
