New Server (is there a point?)

Just wondering, been on holiday for ages away from the internet and came back;- bored as ever....

I'm just wondering, are Mir 1.4/5 servers dead? Or is there just Project69 the only one being popular? I can see some servers with an average of 8-13 people ... Is there a point in making a new server? Is there still random ****ers who do nothing but "hack" other servers?

There is a point, because its fun adding new maps and stuff :P, but lots of people are making servers these days, and the best one to make is 1.9 can only see rage which is 1.4 and up

P69 has been the only popular server for years lol.
RaGEZONE is up tho but not as popular mental thought it would be haha.

Yes people are still out there hacking servers.

People are also still wateing for DestinyAO to come up as it has been in the makeing for nearly a year now.

Personally i dont see a point in making a server... RaGEZONE and Project69 are the to largest servers around... and will continue to be the largest untill MiR Unleashed is open (which i dont think will be to long).

Once MiR Unleashed is open i think we can say good bye to private servers for a while entill the community start to get bored with MiR-U in which case older versions of MiR-U MIGHT be releashed which will then bring back point to creating a personal server... (but like i said MIGHT... no defo that older versions of it will be released...)

MiR-U aint all that good aint it just a clone of euromir ??.
Why would poeple want to play a clone when u can just play euromir and make real life ££££££££ ??.

MiR-U wont be the most best server out there dont for get there is more then one server and not every one likes the same server diffrent people like diffrent things.

Basicly MiR-U is a clone of mir2 + mir3 put into one server... with community ideas added also... there will be 2 servers opened when it finally does open... and low stat and a high stat as far as i know...

so basicly MiR-U is appealing to the hole community not just one particular side... and with the improved features and less bugs i believe MiR-U will be a hit for a couple of months... but i believe once the older versions of the server are realised (if they are) then people may lose intrest and begin to create there own servers...

how can anyone say no server coming out will beat p69 or rz? surely you shld have said the same thing about when just p69 was up, then rz beat its user count.

you cant predict the future so why try.

Yes i can predict the future... the future = MiR-U around the cornor... why waste ya time creating yet another server when the MiR-U files (if older versions are released) dont even use the same princibles as the emulators...

My point of veiw is to just wait for MiR-U... nothing that the chinese WILL do... not saying that they cant... but nothing they will do will beat the MiR-U files... so might aswell just wait...

Didnt they say they would never released Mir U files.. Only when the team gives up with them??

And its different than mir 2 so alot of ppl may not even like it, it might be popluar within the first 2 months just because its new. Doesnt mean it will kill any mir 2 servers.

Ok the files MAY be released no defo, they may be released when newer versions of the server are out... for example Mir-U 0.1 (very first version) say when Mir-U0.5 is out and on there servers, they might release 0.1...

What bugs and cheats are you talking about?

All the cheats that can be used on 1.9 with ledu 2.55 can also be used on 1.4 . Now theese bugs you are talking about, please share with us!

adm is adding new interface, new attacks, horses, and alot of stuff from mir3. i myself hate it when you take stuff from mir3 and dump it in mir2, it just makes the game look ugly. if the features continue to come from mir3 then i wld much rather play 1.9

Tbh i dont really mess around with the server files no more... it got kinda boring ages ago so im just stating what iv read on forums... if there is/was any real bugs i really wouldnt know, just repeating word of type o.O

as for the mir3 in mir2 looking ugly... yes i agree 100% BUT! and this is a big but... MiR-U uses 32 True colours... which means mir3 stuff looks the same as it does on mir3 but the attual game play is mir2... if ya see where im coming from...

i see where ya coming from tho... Mir3 is far less tidy then mir2... bits and bobs all over the place... probs why mir2 is more popular then mir3...

mir3 is less popular IMO for 2 reasons.

people hate the pvp in it
people starting off with mir2 and so dont like the sudden change.

i myself love the detailed maps, amount of spells, and npc flexibility on it.

yes unleashed will use 32bit, but the mir2 images will still be 256 colours, so if you compare that next to a 32bit graphic from mir3, it will still look (IMO) out of place.

i say this because i tried putting mir2 stuff in mir3, and the mir2 things looked totally out of place.

maybe adm and dw will make it so everything fits well, but who knows.

still, i wldnt get anyones hopes up about him releasing the files.

I see what your saying... im just sick of mir2 i think... i personaly am bored of all the private servers... if you can make a server thats different (never been done) then i would say do it... but pretty much everything has been done now i would say...

i might move onto creating a mir3 server... never done it and iv heard theres some nice spells init... (also theres not that many servers around)

i got bored of mir2 about 2 years ago, which is why i moved on to mir3. only problem is you need to fully translate most things (mainly quests).

most things havnt been done imo, just ppl like to stick a server up with no original ideas. new maps, mobs and items arnt everything to a server tbh.

i agree tbh... i like servers with story lines behind them... which there isnt many about... and good well constructed NPCs... you ever fort of putting a mir3 server up?
