Why make vectors? Thats just as much of a waste of time if you GFX'n for fun. I've been there, done it, and got the tee-shirt and to be fair, i still occasionly make a signature rather than trying to fill a large canvas. I still use filters, brushes and a little bit of vector in my work, and I couldnt say one technique is better than another if its all your own work.

I must agree with you on the placement issues, I think Nutter spent too long trying to make a classy effect (which in all fairness he had), rather than getting the text to suit the image he's made.

Overall it's a good attempt and i recon it deserves a good 7/10.
