New upgrades...

Aye, been looking towards some new ram.

That's why i was looking towards the GeForce 6600 series. They're priced (aparently) between $100 and $140, which winds up pretty damn cheap here in the UK.

I also looked at the ATI Radeon x600 series, but the GeForce 6600 series looks to be the better card all-round.

*$149-199 im pretty sure. The only thing ive seen on this card is an add that its a doom 3 "killer". There are two models, 6600 and 6600GT. Supposedly the 6600 can play doom 3 @ 1600x1200 high quailty no aa/af or 1024x768 high qaulity 4xaa/8af both with over 40fps.... SO far i have not seen any benchies but these are my conclusions:

*The only reason the card might get good doom 3 performance is because it's nvidia optimised like crazy
*After looking at the technical aspects of this card and seeing that is is less powerful than the 6800nu (which is on par with the 9800xt/5950u at high res aa/af and above it at lower red no aa/af) the card will prob take huge performance hits in todays games
*The agp countparts of the card will not be released till after the 6600 PCIe series.
