This version is not fun at all; there are too many pay-to-win elements. Even in China, it's a niche game. The old version was pretty good, with only three classes and no heroes.

Imagine if it was being remade from the ground up, the Chinese are greedy.
The origin of this game is quite complex. It was initially developed by Shengda (Shanda) as a way to circumvent paying royalties to WEMADE by creating a clone of Legend of Mir 2. In the beginning, the game was advertised as being able to perfectly transfer old Legend of Mir account data into WOOL. Over time, however, the game gradually evolved into a pay-to-win model.

I previously bought a complete standalone version of a game on eBay in China. It included all the game files and featured amazing AI bots that could play alongside you. They would even trade, set up stalls, siege castles, and engage in PvP battles. If you need it, I can upload a copy.

You know quite well I would usually do it myself but I was not in a position to do so. Besides if I did everything myself what’s the need for you? 🤔

Not sure how the official version being p2w has any indication of how fun the files are? Not to say people here wont make p2w servers like they love to do but hey ho, that's the world we live in now.

Vote Pedro and make the WooL files private for the first few years to allow for a low rate experience with no P2W bullcrap. Enjoy it as it should be before people shag it

Are you trying to upload files from that CD you bought the game on and it is preventing you to upload copied files from that CD (I assume you bought it on some medium, CD being most likely).

If so, maybe you could make an ISO from the CD and upload that. If you don't know how to make ISO from a CD, you could use a program like UltraISO which can make ISO image of a CD. Maybe the protection might not interfere on the level of making a disk image and uploading that.

Well, I just saw that they are making a WOOL server and provided some information. This is a single-player version modified based on WOOL. I don’t know what method the seller used to prevent others from uploading his game, but that’s what he did (which I understand—otherwise, anyone could buy it and upload it online for free downloads). I suggest that if you're interested, just purchase it directly—it’s about 2 euros. This topic wasn’t originally here; someone moved it. You can check the previous replies. I originally meant to say that WOOL is a very well-known pay-to-win game, even in China. Basically, no one plays it anymore because it has too many pay-to-win elements.

Can't you just zip the folder up and then upload it? I'm assuming it does install onto your computer or do you just run it from the CD?
