people keep saying mir is dying, but if u combined the players from every mir2/mir3 servers (official and pservers) im sure you would have well over 2k active players.

This game has never been on a WoW scale with regards to players, and it never will be

its not like people havn't tried to recapture the image of euro. Most fail... mir revenge did quite well, but they offered a donating service where you could buy vn1 kit, which i supposed ruined it for some people... four heros low rate started off well, but the majority found it too tedious to level up again. you cant keep everything as it used to be. Even if you know thats how the old mir used to be, you wouldnt go back to those grinding sessions because there is no point... the only way to make a decent server now, is to try and make something that has not been done before. People log on and start playing a server these days to see whats new and what has been improved. thats what keeps alot of people playing. new content, and features..

MR just sold duplicate chars to what people said they had on euro...that's not doing well...it's called taking advantage of the situation and making a few bucks off of idiots. It's all about money.

Not retarded at all.

I hate levelling, however I prefer mir when there was less places to level, and people was around the same level.

Rebirth and all the other descriptions of it killed mir. Why do i want to level to 80, to then go back to level 40 and do the same 40 levels I've just done over and over again... that to me is as you say "retarded".

Back in't day we had P servers where people would get to level 40-45 and then concentrate on getting the best kit by killing bosses.
Now all I see people doing is levelling and paying silly £'s for kit.

old school mir and p servers ftw.
no i actually agree with u, i think rebirth is retarded

but even if u have levelin really hard, there will always be ppl that far out level the rest, it even happened on euro

its true, ppl were closer in levels... but the difference betwen a level 40, and lvl 50, was huge

even the difference between 43 and 45 was big

end of day, mirs been a fun game, its never gonna be as amazing as it once was no matter how amazing a server is, purely because every1 has played it..... nothing is ever good the 2nd time round

i remember back when i was liek 12 or something, and i got pokemon for xmas, and i thought it was amazing... but then u play it more and more and u notice it aint that gr8

dunno wot ppl expect from a game they have played for 8yrs

Skyline pretty much sums up my view and love for Mir.

Tbh, to this day I play a SNES & GBA emulator, sometimes you just can't beat old games. Pokémon yellow/red/blue for example, were and still are amazing games.

i was reading this thread and i find a lot of ideas i share..

tbh not sure if it's me or what but i used to prefer having a big gap between a 42 and 45 player.. just because the difference was nearly all onto the exp.. hp / mp / stats difference was nearly minimal and you had to show your abilities to proove you were worty.. when i first joined Apex i remember i had to go through several tests and the most entertaining one was fighting a guild member at level 35 while being a level 26..

naturally i lost the fight but it had been so nice trying to prove how good i was.. infact i ended up in joining..

today the same exp gap you get it from a 45 level player and a 90 level player or even worse.. even though the exp was the same as on euro mir, on pservers the level 90 player has a lot more advantages onto a level 45player such as big hp / mp gap.. huge stats difference and typically there is no challenge..

surely i'm not saying this road the servers have taken isn't to take.. even because most of the people out there will never player a game where you start on level 1 and have an hour your still level 7.. today people just want it all quicker.. what you use to get with 3 years of euro mir should be get in about 1 week on pservers.. which in part is correct because we just can't waist all that time but at the same time takes away all the fun of the game..

the game was made for having fun hunting, leveling and especially group hunting and leveling.. it wasn't made to get everything in 1/2 weeks and then stay in bichon chating.. i remember when I went hunting around with Ironica and Evie on beta days and we used to kill all the bosses euro mir had when it was 1.4 together.. even because they were very hard to solo even though you were a level 35 or a level 40..

i just feel that the game has lost some challenging.. it was very addicted because at the end of the day there was always something you weren't able to do.. and the day after you settled a team and tried, then tried, then tried to reach your goal!

difference is u probably play pokemon once every 4years, after not playin something for that long its like a new game.

ppl have been play mir non stop with a few month breaks in between for 8years.. and they wonder why they are bored

end of the day, private servers are there for a bit of fun, something different, no1 wants to invest 3years of their life into a low rate server, to see it go down, even euro went down.
