Newb Making Server

Me and a irl mate wanna make a server. We have no idea what so ever what to do but where quick learners, would some1 be able to add us on msn and give us help plz? if you any good at making servers PM ME YOU MSN ADRESS and ill add u asap. So when you say you have no idea what to do have you like installed the server etc? There are guides for server setup and router setup etc (i know they work because i've used them).

As for customizing the server there isn't much to be taught that can't be worked out on your own and the help section is always here when you get stuck, although most problems have been encountered before and are already covered on here. So your better off just going at it if your a quick learner. That way you will have more knowledge of the files than if your told what to do step by step!

scripiting really isnt hard, u have a text docs which tell u wot they all do, just look at a few examples to get you goni aswell

addin items again, if ucan add mobs.. u can add items just as easy, plenty of guides

map makin is a different story tho, and takes skill, time and effort to make a good 1, personally if its ur 1st server id just use current maps out there...
