hi all just downloading the client, the pacther doesnt work but il find away aound it. was just wondering what the user counts of this server is peeps ????

hi and yea tryed this just does the same :/ and i used to play mir years ago was just browsing lomcn for a srver to play and want this one lol... if i download the full client and extract the client and the pacther into the same file will that work lol? been along time doing anything like this and tbh im not clued up with it at all

Is there a patcher version on the patcher? It should be V2.0.4. Also, in your Chronicles directory is there a mir2.exe? We have had many reports of some virus checkers deleting the .exe believing it to be a virus, but this is a false positive.

hi ..... so anyway iv yet another problem the pacther downloaded everything fine but when i click the play button or the mir2exe nethier of them work i get nothint or just a black screen :/ seriously geting fed up lol

Have you allowed the mir.exe through your firewall?
Solution:
1) When stuck, hit "Alt + Enter" to swap screen modes, this has been known to allow users to get past this issue.
2) If your password contains special characters then please contain a member of the Chronicles Development Team as this could also stop you from being able to connect to the character select screen.

Ya rebooted and just the same I can't even get to the login hate it just goes black or does nothing at all lol

make sure your sound drivers are up to date.
I remember awhile ago a black screen was fixed by updating audio drivers, don't know why that would do anything but it happened to someone.
All drivers are up to date bud all ready checked just don't know what it could be iv tryed just about everything lol

That's really frustrating. fair play for perseverance so far.
So when you run the patcher, it says no more files needed and the play button lights up
You press the play button and it launches into a black screen?
Have you pressed Alt and Enter when in the black screen (this changes it to windowed mode)
You have the chronicles .exe in the specific folder?
You have right clicked it and gone to setting and ticked run as admin?
Is anything else ticked? (most people i've spoken to run as windows XP sp3 for best results) worth a shot...
have you tried just clicking the exe instead of the patcher?

I'm no techie by a long shot but the answers might help others identify the issues.

Ok so yea I run the patcher latest version it downloaded all the files fine was around 5gb ..... The play button lights up ........ My anti virus was blocking it so I disabled it and then it would just give me the black or somtimes nothing at all :/ iv yet to try alt+enter just on way home now .... Cheers for the help people
