I believe this change entirely favored melee classes as they dont hit elemental attacks.
People bring all their ADV kits in their bag resulting to a massive advantage against wizards and taoist.
PVE-wise I believe this also helped people to kill certain boss easily such as Lair boss switching from Ice to Holy.
I know people can still bring their adv kits in their bags even if there's bag drops on death, but i doubt anyone has the balls to bring their ENTIRE adv kits fearing it might drop upon death.

It's something Shane and I will discuss on Monday (or Sunday when ever we meet).

Looking at SW stats, wizzies seem to be fine in PvP. Taos not so much, but I prefer to think of them more as utility and support than outright killing anyway. As SW is basically bring the best kit you have, I'd say it's consistent with bringing the best kit you have to bosses. So I seriously disagree with wizzies and taos being at a disadvantage.

Personally, death drops have consistently been the single biggest reason for quitting servers, frankly they disgust me. It's why I refuse to play eve online even though I enjoyed the gameplay. Spend a month working towards something only to lose it in seconds just doesn't appeal to me. I guess the sadomasochistic players like that? Maybe add some sort of war room with it enabled for those who like to lose gear?

I would love to bring more utility to taoists than more damage in upcoming patches. Need to talk to Shane first.

Crit buff would be great lol
Maybe have their pet give a buff to grouped players around it. If the tao explodes it the buff stops for 5 mins. A nice hp buff or something

I find it weird enough that there are no death drops what so ever. What's there to gain from the constant 100's of hours of grinding. Sure the pvp is still pretty cool etc but wheres the adrenaline, wheres taking that risk to gain from using something you could potentially lose.

The opportunity to kill the boss? Or just the thrill of being able to beat the other person? Bragging rights?

Lets be honest, 90% of normal people would just TT when attacked and they could actually lose something. There's no adrenaline in hitting someone once and them instantly TTing because they don't want to risk it. Now that is boring, and some people actually like to PvP on here. Not sure why you'd want less PvP, this is mir lol...

Let’s be honest, most of play Mir for the pk and pvp, the lack of drops is boring. Also taos are not a support class on here at all, neither are they a pvp class.

Im all for bag drops, body drops would just result in less PvP as most will just RT/TT rather than risk losing items, could you imagine body’s drops and the level 75 Warriors running around using beckon and assault or Sins sneaking up in cloak and 1-2 shorting 99% of the server.... the amount of crying and rage quitting would make for a couple of colourful days on Discord/Forums But in the long run would kill off the mass PvP we have now.

bag drops should be readded and jamie said he would speak to shane about this.

Adv kit is a must in most caves and people cant/wont be able to pvp in adv kit.

currently there are warriors/sins running round with every adv kit you could possibly need in any situation, without risk.

Bag drops sure, body drops no chance.

Taoists exploding pet 1 hits me with my 1700 HP, I wouldn't even have a chance to TT because I would be eating dirt and my Sword of Abyss would be on the ground weeks of refining and MRs wasted for a PvP death thats not avoidable.

Body drops drop just wouldn't work in mir 3 (imo) and I can see why the design choice was made originally.

Mir 3 seems to be all about burst damage and a little RNG via crit.
That combined with the Luck changes make for a very volatile high burst damage situation from certain classes.

No they don't
SlyDicks are a social guild for family and friends to play together like they have for years. They don't pk or pvp except for a boss(LIES)
with the other no pk guild AAO they are 2/3 of server.

Mir 3 never had the same PvP drops as Mir 2, it was designed around more organised objective based PvP rather than open world. It is why they added arenas and battlegrounds and more and more PvP based events.

In the 1v1 arena stats/items are normalised and it is a timed 3 minute battle, it is more about ability that what you'd get from a drop.

If body drops were in I’d have KyLin’s full kit by now :P

It’s far too easy to kill someone to have body drops imo, having bag drops wouldn’t really change the amount of PVP it would just mean you can’t carry 2/3 different kits around. (Expensive MR/DC kits)

As for the comment about Adv kits for every situation, this wouldn’t change much either as Adv kit isnt too expensive, which ever cave you were going you’d still take the relevant Adv kit.

speaking from a warriors point of view here.

but then there is risk to lose something, and regardless what item it is people don't wanna lose kit they need/use.

should always be a risk factor when you die without it the game gets boring and stale before the server was even live to add PK drops had double the amount of votes than no pk drops had.

with the current change to dropping nothing when you die (while testing karma) people got bored of fighting but ofc your gonna see people fight over tiger/queen but other than that next to nothing else happening on the server.

(talking about bag drops) as body drops clearly cant be a thing atm with balance issues unless HP pools got increased.

Well, if bag drops are readded, I seriously hope losing luck for murder is readded as well with it. Also the removal of pk point pots.

Otherwise you are just ****ing over the majority of the playerbase just to appease the vocal minority. I know I'm not going to stick around to get 1shot by 70+ wars constantly just because they are bored. Most of the player base will be easy game for these players, so I seriously hope you think carefully on the consequences of this change.

If you risked losing luck for pk’ing nobody would do it which would be boring.

you would just be getting warred constantly to skip the ‘murder’ penalty.

and excala for the first time in zircon history I do agree with you!

So what's the drawback of murdering everyone? Nothing.

Now that the 70+s are basically done leveling on their safe server, they want to make it free for them to murder anyone who wants to compete one day? Ridiculous.

Unless body drops are only for 70+s. That would work.
