no sound through hdmi

heya guys i made a thread about this ages ago and still having issue.

when i made the thread before in my sound device i had SPDIF option but now i just see my logitech devices :S

any idea how i could of got rid of it lol???

really want sound through telly ( no room for speakers at all ) sick of wearing me g35's.

any idea's would be great ,thanks alot.

is your HDMI port on an onboard graphics card, or dedicated graphics card? if so, what models are they?

Your GPU has to support it, and make sure your sound settings are set to use your HDMI.

nvida gts 250 and yes its got a hdmi port.

and where do i see my sound options on hdmi part cause i dont see that.

edit : i used to have SPDIF and hdmi options but now i dont , aint had them for ages.

Your windows sound options, make sure it's set to your High Def Audio Output, not your audio out on your soundcard.

bought them , dont need a sub and got nowhere for 5 speakers.

If you want sound through HDMI (to go through your TV/monitor) there should be an option... here's mine;

The one enabled is my Headset, the one below it would be my HDMI audio... below that is my speakers, then the rest are obvious.

If I wanted sound out of my HDMI I would pick the 2nd option, so I dunno why you don't have that.

i just see my logitech g35 lol , it dont matter i ordered them speakers :P
