no sound

i had to format my pc once again and now i have no sound

in the system panel it sez i have no audio output device so i downloaded High Definition Audio Codecs but that didnt help, any ideas plz?http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/

I know this sounds daft, but have you rebooted your pc? or terminated a process called 'services' in the task manager?

was quite daft lol, i fixed it now i had 2 download updates from microsfot for the sound controler
